OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — A woman killed when a tree fell onto a Northern California highway has been identified as a 22-year-old Oakland woman.

Coroner's officials say Kenneisha Dale died Sunday afternoon when the tree came crashing down on her car as she drove on westbound Interstate 80 in Vacaville.

The California Highway Patrol says it is still investigating the incident. The CHP says it is unclear whether Caltrans was responsible for the tree, or one of two possible landowners.

Relatives tell KTVU-TV that Dale had just visited her husband in Solano State Prison and was headed back home to Oakland when she was fatally crushed.

Her family says Dale loved children and was considering working in child care.
