Yankees ship Nunez to Triple-A among roster moves

Tampa, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Yankees assigned infielder Eduardo Nunez to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre among several roster moves on Saturday.

Nunez spent 90 games with the big club last season, primarily filling in for the injured Derek Jeter. He hit .260 with three home runs, 17 doubles and 28 RBI along with a .953 fielding percentage at shortstop.

Also heading to northeastern Pennsylvania were pitchers Cesar Cabral and Shane Greene.

The Yanks also assigned infielder Zelous Wheeler, outfielders Antoan Richardson and Adonis Garcia, pitcher Matt Daley and catcher Jose Gil to minor league camp.
