Actor Zach Braff has donated $10,000 to help pay a New York comedienne's medical bills after she was struck by a subway train.
Liza Dye reportedly fainted and fell on to the tracks, where she was hit by an oncoming train.
She has been hospitalised since Thursday and a fundraising website has been launched to help her family cover all medical expenses.
On Sunday, the Scrubs star donated the money and wrote, "Keep making people laugh," according to the New York Post.
Organisers for the fundraising effort are hoping to raise $50,000. As of Tuesday, the contributions totalled $27,790 with 42 days remaining.
Meanwhile, a fundraising event featuring comics Janeane Garofalo, Pete Lee and Amanda Seales has been booked to take place next month at The Stand in New York. Copyright WENN.com
