Well, here it is 6:30pm again and time to tune out Ch 4 & into Ch 2 to get away from that arrogant, obnoxious, liberal Ralston.

I agree with the person above. Would you please review your interview of the governor's staff? Please compare your interview of Horseford and Raggio with the governor's staff. Do you think you were being equal on your badgering? You must realize we as taxpayers are in this position because of the veto override. We would not be in the position we are in if legislators had voted responsibly in the last legislation. So far in the last two evenings you have interviewed 3 conservatives and you badgered them repeatedly and tonight you had 1 1/2 liberals and 1/2 conservative and you laughed and played softball. Please try to hold ALL parties responsible for the sake of Nevada. We need to get responsible legislation passed here.

Well Jon, once again you were playing softball. Time to turn you and KRNV off and we are doing just that. When will "news" people get it - there are a lot of folks that just aren't interested in your obviously liberal views. We WERE hoping that you would be fair. But . . . . .enough is enough.

Why do you people keep asking BUREAUCRATS about the budget shortfalls and how to resolve them? They are BUREAUCRATS after all. They have feathered their nests for years and now are desperately trying to preserve their cushy positions. ASK TAXPAYERS!! Taxpayers pay for these lavish budgets loaded with waste and duplication and you will get better solutions from them.

What happened to the noon news? Are we to be subjected to Tad Dunbar for thirty minutes ad nauseum? Several millenia past, Mr. Dunbar was an adequate newscaster, but has become nothing more than a monosyllabic drone! Please relegate him to a post-11:00 PM slot. That's when we are in need of an electronic media sleeping pill! - Ken A.

Please pass this on to Jim Rodgers:

We are really enjoying your "Let'em Talk" segments. However you were too easy on Brian Sandoval today, on "Taxes." When you tried to pin him down on whether businesses could be drawn here when quality of life is so poor (i.e. being at the bottom of the "good" lists and top of the "bad"), you let him escape answering. His position of "no new taxes" doesn't differentiate him from Jim Gibbons. When Bob Cashell was interviewed he at least talked about revising the tax system.

As you continue these interviews, please don't let these people off the hook. Otherwise, those interviews have little value to the viewers.

I personally think Tad is the best guy this station has... bar none. I would love to have him back on the evening news and then the obnoxious guy can have the noon news, even if he is a refreshing liberal view point. Close minded people have never lived in a big city obviously. Do they want all the homeless people on their doorsteps?? Most homeless people are sick in some fashion and do need help. That's what civilized societies do after all. What else are you going to do with them? It's easy for you to sit back and blow your "conservative" speak when you don't have a sick raving homeless person in your front yard.

I find it absolutely amazing that so many are up in arms about Health Insurance when they say nothing about mandatory AUTO insurance! Is your car more important than your family? Almost every state requires automobile insurance, though not mandated by the U.S. Government, it is required by the State Government. Only 2 states do not require it. Even our Governor has to have automobile insurance, but he screams like a mashed cat over health insurance. Could it be just because it was signed into law by a President who happens to be a Democrat?

I never watch Jon Ralston, since his voice makes me crazy. But I had to watch the piece with Kathy Karrasch.
She really needs to get her stories &time line straight before she goes live! I know how she is and how she turns on people. Throwing a co-worker under the bus years ago at Mervyn's where they both worked, she was innocent then to....yeah right!
She shows her true colors bad mouthing Dawn Gibbons, really sounds lke a bitter mistress to me.

Thank you for pursuing the fleecing of our community by the Firefighters. Please continue the information you have brought to light. I am appalled that our leaders haven't reined them in - they claim to protect our community but steal from us instead. Pay for more cops! It is more likely that I will be stabbed or robbed in Reno than be a victim of a fire. They wouldn't rescue me anyway but the police would!

I wouold like to see the homeless issue addressed more. I work downtown and and I cant count how many times I have to go out and ask them to leave the property. I loose customers because they are tired of being hassled for money all the time. When they refuse to give money, they are spit on and cussed out.
When is the mayor of this town going to do something about this? It is no wonder the tourism is down!
I wouldnt want to come here either!
I have lived her my whole life and I have seen it get worce everyday.
I know times are hard but the people who do work and want to enjoy the area cant because of this problem.
I think it needs a deeper look and solutions rather than just reporting how many homeless we have.

I cannot for the life of me understand why you have the ever-irritating Jon Ralston, with a voice that grates on my last nerve, on during prime evening news. . you have Tad Dunbar, the best anchor in this town, on your staff and you stick him on mid-day???? Channel 2, I am sure, is thankful for the 6:30 ratings boost you have given them.

Well, I just have to say thank you Jon Ralston. You proved once again what a biased "reporter" you are. You would have NEVER treated Harry Reid this way. But good news, Sharon Angle handled herself amazingly well, despite your badgering. It's a wonder she got a word in edgewise (it's obvious you love to hear yourself talk. Maybe you should try listening for a change!

Oh--and for the record,Channel 4, you just lost a loyal viewer.

I agree with D.N. and others on this site, 6:30 off goes channel 4. Actually, this guys voice and the pre-show clips you people put on this newscast is such a turn off that I am sticking with the other local stations. Thanks for many years of good watching though!

Just watched Mr. Ralston do his best to put Sharon Angle away, and was so delighted with the way she handed him his smug smile in a basket, I had to create an account to comment.
I hope Mr. Ralston spares himself another encounter in which he feels so pressured to make someone look bad, he finds it difficult to even let them finish their response to his question, even when it seemed as though it was a precise answer. I am sure that had he been interviewing Mr. Reid, Mr. Reid would have been treated with more respect and curtesy.

John Ralston,

You would do well to be honest with your viewers and let Sharron Angle and Harry Reid both present their points of view on suggested subjects without attacking them. Tonight you treated us the viewers as if we are too stupid to sort out the facts about each candidate for ourselves. In doing so you came across as a very rude interviewer. Please spare us the embarrassment of having to watch you behave in that inappropriate manner in the future.

Shame on you for pretending that you wanted to let Sharron Angle present her views, When all you really wanted to do was twist her words to favor your point of view. No straight forward interview this time. You were a disgrace to KRNV.

Just saw the face to face with Jon Ralston and Sharron Angel. I am very impressed with Sharron Angle's intelligence and composure. I totally agree with her views. No matter how many times Mr. Ralston tried to distort the facts, she quickly answered and counter every argument he made. Sharron Angle has my vote. The more I'm exposed to her, the more I like her. Too bad the liberal media can't be more subjective and treat Mr. Reid the same way. I hope Sharron walks away with the Senate seat!

I agree with most of the comments concerning Jon Ralston. He is more than obnoxious he is rude and judgemental. He needs to go as soon as possible. It was so nice to find out that someone else was in his place tonight, I decided to watch. Normaly, I change channels. You do need to get more center of the road and not so liberal in all of your reporting. It is a disservice to all of people in this State. Would be nice to see some fair broadcasting from a network news station for a change.

I think that if the United States would enforce the immagration laws that we already have in this country, we would not be having the problem the country is having now. If they are here in the U.S. but are not american, they are braking the law and should not be here. The people that are not american citizens take away from the people who are legal. All the services going broke can't even help americans because they have ran out of money helping the people who don't live here. The U.S. seems to help everyone and every country except the one that counts, the american citizen.

Concerning the 24 hour massage parlors, Metro brings these Chinese women with limited English skills before the State Massage Board where they enter into agreements for fines and suspension of license. I find it hard to believe that the only women turning tricks in Las Vegas are Chinese yet the women brought before the board are almost exclusively Chinese.
If these women are guilty of prostitution Metro needs to make the case and get a conviction. Instead they are using the Paradise City Council and the Nevada State Board of Massage Therapy where the burden of proof is much lower than in a court of law to punish these women and business owners,
I can see why the lawyers think there are civil rights violations involved.

Would like to make a comment on the possible food tax. If Nevada does want to do this or must do this it should be only on prepared food and a permentent cap on the tax. If you go out to eat, which is NOT a necessity, by all means tax it. If you are buying food in the grocery store, if it is prepackage, prepared food, tax it. It's not as healthy as making your own version. But, if it is raw and needs to be prepared by you leave it alone, NO TAX. This is how most states out there do it now that tax food. Seems fair to me.
