Police seek strong arm robbery suspect

Nic Dunn MyNews4.com (Reno, NV) - Secret Witness is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of a strong-arm robbery suspect. A Reno Police Department press release reports that at about 10:30 pm on July 19th, a man was walking in the area of North Virginia and Plaza Street when two people approached him and demanded his wallet. The victim complied, and the suspects ran away. One suspect has been arrested, but police are still looking for the second suspect. He is described as a black man in his mid 20's, about six feet tall and 200 pounds, with dreadlock hair. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, and a light blue baseball cap.

Are people so desperate? Willing to risk conviction and jail for what a stranger *might* keep in his wallet? I have two movie ticket stubs and some old receipts in my wallet and I work! It's a modern world with paypal and debit cards, surely these thieves must know this? Why risk everything for nothing?
