Nic Dunn MyNews4.com (Carson City, NV) - The Governor Guinn Millennium Scholarship will stay, at least through 2011. A press release from the Nevada State Treasurer's office reports that the State Treasurer has partnered with legislators and the Board of Regents to ensure that funding is available for the scholarship through the coming school year.

At a meeting in Las Vegas Wednesday morning, the Interim Finance Committee voted unanimously to transfer roughly $4.2 million from the Nevada's College Savings Plans program to the Millennium Scholarship. State Treasurer Kate Marshall said that the IFC decision will provide enough funding to pay the bills through fiscal year 2011, without financially harming any other programs.

Mark as Offensive

If you think that they stole money from elsewhere and it won't be noticed you are crazy. But they stole the money from smokers medical bills in the first place so I guess stealing is OK.
I am sure a new tax can fix everything.
