Nevada fire supervisor gets ranger job

SPARKS, Nev. (AP) -- The fire supervisor at Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest has been selected as the new ranger for a district in California.

The U.S. Forest Service says Mike Crawley is scheduled to begin at his new post as Bridgeport District ranger at the end of August. He has been in his current job at the Nevada forest for nearly three years and represented the Humboldt-Toiyabe as a board member of the Nevada Fire Safe Council since 2008.
