Smoke that was seen drifting up from the south Tuesday night around sunset was from 2 separate fires burning in Southern California. The main push of smoke was from a fire burning in the Sequoia National Forest, but also some smoke was coming up from a fire burning near the Mojave Desert. Officials say the fire burning near the Mojave Desert has destroyed about 30 buildings and about 150 others are threatened. The fire near Mojave broke out Tuesday afternoon and has already consumed more than 500 acres.COMMENTS
