NV woman accused of driving drunk with kid in car

RENO, Nev. (AP) -- A Reno woman has been arrested on suspicion of driving drunk with her 9-year-old child in the car.

Police say 44-year-old Adriana Botello was booked Wednesday into the Washoe County Jail on charges of driving under the influence, child endangerment and failure to use due care. Witnesses told police they saw Botello load her child into the car while she seemed impaired. She then allegedly struck parked cars and fled.

Botello was arrested after reaching her nearby home and being identified as the suspect by witnesses.
Earlier this month, a Douglas County man was sentenced to six months in jail for driving drunk with his 9-year-old son. John Tabor was accused of colliding with another vehicle May 4. The other driver was seriously injured, but Tabor and his son escaped injury.

Horrific and sad. My heart goes out to the children who are subjected to this way of life. May God protect the innocent and the courts punish those who are so foolish as to drive drunk in our community. Those who drive drunk with children.... well it's so sad I just don't know what to say.
