Reno police are looking for a man they say tried to rob a Reno sandwich shop while pretending to have a gun.

On Sunday, at 6:30 p.m. Reno Police officers responded to a robbery call at the Quiznos on 10310 North McCarran.

They say the clerk reported that the alleged suspect entered the shop and "simulated having a gun in his jacket pocket."

The suspect allegedly opened the cash register and removed the cash drawer, according to police. As he tried to leave, he ran into the front door, spilled the cash and knocked the watch off of his wrist, police said.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s, about six-feet tall, with a thin build. He was last seen with a blonde mustache and beard, and wearing blue denim pants and a black checkered hooded sweatshirt over a bright blue t-shirt.

Those with information are asked to call Secret Witness at 322-4900, or Reno police detectives at 334-2115.

Secret Witness is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect.
