Reno police detectives say they arrested a man Thursday responsible for a week-long robbery spree.

Authorities say they arrested Daniel Merry, 42, shortly after robberies of Viewcrest Cleaners on Kings Row and Port of Subs on Mae Anne Avenue. He was arrested at Keystone Avenue and Stardust Street in an alleged stolen vehicle. Investigators say officers used a Taser to stop the suspect after he allegedly fled from the vehicle. Neither the officers nor the suspect were injured.

Merry--a Reno landscaper -- is accused of committing seven armed robberies during the past several days.

Police say he targeted small businesses including a sandwich shop, a coffee bar and a boutique denim store.

Merry was recently released from jail after being arrested on drug charges. On Thursday authorities processed him at the Washoe County Jail for the robbery charges.
