Butcher Boy owner Ken Jolley tells reporters on Friday that his business is closing until further notice.
The owner of a business that has served the Reno-Sparks area for 35 years announced on the Friday after Thanksgiving that both of his stores will close until further notice.

Butcher Boy's Owner Ken Jolley told a hand full of Reno reporters Friday afternoon that he will close his family owned and operated business--founded in 1974-on November 30. He said he was not sure when it would re-open and the decision was beyond his control. When asked who was in control he would not comment.

Jolley told a Reno newspaper earlier this week that his business was cut in half as a result of a bankruptcy filing in the summer of 2008.

He told reporters on Friday one or both stores could reopen, but he was not sure which. He said if that happened he would be involved.

"I will be back," he said.

He wouldn't say if being back meant being the employee of another entity.

The press conference was held on Friday afternoon at Butcher Boy Prime located at 7300 S. Virginia St. The business' other store-the first-is located in Sparks.

He said all items will be half price until the closing date.
