Upcoming H1N1 clinics in Reno area

Page Last Updated: Friday December 11, 2009 2:21pm PST
If you're high risk and looking to get your H1N1 vaccine, there are several clinics this weekend and next week.

Saint Mary's is holding a clinic from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at its Center For Health And Fitness on North Arlington.

The hospital also have two more clinics scheduled for next Tuesday and the following Saturday.

The Washoe County Health District will also have three clinics in the week ahead for high risk patients with an addition to the patient list. For the first time the district will open the clinics to those 65 years and older with underlying health conditions.

The first is Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The others will be next Tuesday and Thursday.
No wristbands will be given out early for these clinics.

Instead the shots will be given on a first-come, first-served, walk-in basis.

The district says they don't feel wristbands are necessary now that they have more supply of the vaccine and less demand.

If the lines get long they might offer wristbands to reduce the waiting time.
