Officials in Susanville continue death investigation of two women

Law enforcement in a northeastern California town say they are still waiting for results from the autopsies of two women who they say were found with gunshot wounds inside an apartment last week.

The Susanville Police Department believes both women were residents in town.

On December 22, police responded to a call and found the two women dead with gunshot wounds inside an apartment on Paiute Lane, authorities said.

Autopsy results will not be available for six to eight weeks, police said.
